ANALISIS EVALUASI PENDIDIKAN PASRAMAN GIRI KUSUMA BOGOR MENURUT STANDAR NASIONAL PENDIDIKAN

ABSTRACT

The evaluation of education system in the school of Hinduism is one of the ways to
increase the quality of education and to develop the school of Hinduism, which has been
progressing significantly in the urban areas, especially around Jakarta. It is aimed to
omplement the absence of Hinduism teachings in formal schools. According to PP No. 55
year 2007 about religious teachings and religions; the education of Hindu religion is a
society based education that is executed in form of Hinduism School and Hinduism Art
and Culture in both formal and informal sectors. Also referring to PP no. 19 year 2005
on National Education Standards, any School of Hinduism can become a formal
education organization by complying to the guidelines in the National Education
Standards.
There are eight points in the National Education Standards ie. teaching
material standard, procedural standard, graduate competency standard, education
staff standard, facilities and infrastructure standard, management standard,
financial standard and education evaluation standard.
This study was using a qualitative approach. The data collections were done
through observations, interviews and questionnairs distribution. Observation was
done on the education process in Pasraman Giri Kusuma. Interviews were done
for the parents, teachers, students, distinguished members of the society, and the
schools administrators. Questionnairs were distributed amongst teachers and
school administrators. Data compiled from interviews and observations were
analyzed and written in the form of a descriptive report, while the data obtained
from the questionnairs were analyzed using SWOT matrix analysis.

The results of SWOT matrix analysis showed that strategy S-O (Strength-
Opportunity) is perfect for Hinduism school, Pasraman Giri Kusuma. The purpose

of the strategy is to manage all available strength by using all existing
opportunity. The S-O strategy planning consists of teaching material standard,
procedural standard, financial standard, and graduate competency standard. The
conclusion from the research is that Hinduism School has a good prospect to be
upgraded into a formal education system by improving the National Education
Standard in the aspects of education staff competency and improving facilities and
infrastructure standard especially libraries.
