DAMPAK PANDEMI COVID-19 TERHADAP DAYA TARIK WISATA
BALI BIRD PARK DI KABUPATEN GIANYAR BALI
Penelitian mengenai dampak pandemi covid-19 terhadap DTW Bali Bird

Park (BBP) di Kabupaten Gianyar Bali dilatarbelakangi karena fenomena-
fenomena yang terjadi di BBP sejak pandemi covid-19. BBP sebagai suatu DTW

juga konservasi satwa burung dimana burung menjadi daya tarik utamanya
mengalami kesulitan untuk membiayai operasionalnya sejak pandemi. BBP tetap
harus mengeluarkan biaya seperti pakan, obat-obatan satwa, dan gaji penjaga
satwa meskipun kawasan wisatanya tutup, untuk menjaga populasi satwanya.
Pemasukan yang didapatkan dari penjualan tiket dan kunjungan wisatawan sejak
pandemi covid-19 pun tidak mencukupi biaya operasional, sementara kas
perusahaan semakin menipis.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak pandemi
covid-19 terhadap DTW BBP, termasuk kinerja karyawannya, serta untuk
mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan oleh BBP untuk tetap bertahan dalam situasi
pandemi covid-19 saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif
deskriptif. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif,
dengan sumber data primer dan data sekunder. Informan ditentukan dengan teknik
purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian dengan bantuan instrumen
penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi sederhana, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan
studi kepustakaan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak pandemi covid-19 terhadap
DTW BBP ialah penurunan penjualan tiket masuk dan kunjungan wisatawan,
hingga penurunan pemasukan perusahaan lebih dari 80% dari kunjungan normal,
karena terbatasnya mobilitas dan turunnya daya beli masyarakat. Pemasukan BBP
sejak pandemi tidak mampu menutupi seluruh biaya operasional, sementara kas
perusahaan semakin menipis dan perusahaan tetap harus mengeluarkan biaya
setiap harinya untuk menjaga populasi satwa, seperti biaya pakan, dan obat-obatan
satwa. Karyawan BBP juga terkena dampak pandemi covid-19, yaitu sekitar 50%
karyawan dirumahkan, adapula mengalami pemotongan jam kerja dan gaji,
hingga di PHK. Manajemen BBP melakukan berbagai upaya agar BBP dapat
bertahan pada situasi pandemi covid-19 saat ini, seperti mengefisiensi biaya
operasional seperti gaji karyawan, dan memprioritaskan satwanya. Manajemen
BBP menaati aturan pemerintah terkait prokes covid-19, menyediakan fasilitas
sesuai prokes covid-19 untuk menjamin keamanan dan kenyaman penunjung dan
karyawannya. Promosi dengan penawaran harga spesial mengikuti situasi dan
permintaan pasar, hingga program penggalangan donasi, seperti Fighting
Extinction Hero dan Bird Star on Tour juga dilakukan untuk menyasar
masyarakat luas. Promosi penawaran harga spesial dan Bird Star on Tour dinilai
lebih efektif meningkatkan kunjungan dan pendapatan BBP. Manajemen BBP
terus berupaya agar BBP dapat bertahan pada situasi Pandemi covid-19 saat ini.

ABSTRACT

THE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC OF COVID-19 ON TOURIST
ATTRACTION OF BALI BIRD PARK IN GIANYAR REGENCY BALI
Research on the impact of the pandemic covid-19 against on tourist
attraction of Bali Bird Park (BBP) in Gianyar Bali motivated due to phenomena
that have occurred at the BBP since pandemic covid-19. BBP as a tourist
attraction as well as wildlife bird conservation as the main attraction is
experiencing difficulties to finance its operations since the pandemic. BBP still
have expenses such as, feed, medicines for birds, and the salary of a bird keeper
although the tourist area is closed, to take care of the bird population. The income
obtained from ticket sales and tourist visits since pandemic covid-19 is not
sufficient to bear operational costs, while the company's cash dwindling.
This research aims to determine how the impact of the pandemic covid-19
against on tourist attraction of BBP, including the performance of its employees,
as well as to know the efforts made by BBP to survive in the situation of the
pandemic covid-19 at this time. This research uses qualitative descriptive
approach. The type of data used is qualitative data and quantitative data, the
primary data source and secondary data. The informants were determined by
purposive sampling technique. Research data collection with the help of the
research instruments was carried out by simple observation, semistructured
interview, and literature study.
The results showed that the impact of the pandemic covid-19 on tourist
attraction of BBP is a decrease in ticket sales and tourist visits, causing a decrease
in company revenue by more than 80% from normal visits, due to limited mobility
and a decrease in people's purchasing power. BBP income since the pandemic has
not been able to cover all operational costs, while the company's cash is running
low and the company still has to bear the cost to protect animal populations every
day, such as the cost of animal feed and medicines. BBP employees have also
been impacted by the pandemic covid-19, about 50% of employees being laid off,
some have been cut in working hours and salaries, and have been fired. The
management of BBP has made various efforts so that BBP can survive the current
pandemic covid-19 situation, such as efficiency operational costs such as
employee salaries, and prioritizing animals. The management of BBP obey the
rules of the government regarding the covid-19 health protocol, provides facilities
according to the covid-19 health protocol to ensure the safety and comfort of
visitors and employees. Promotions with special price offers following the
situation and market demand, as well as donation-raising programs, such as
Fighting Extinction Hero and Bird Star on Tour are also carried out to target the
wider community. Promotion of speci
al price offers and Bird Star on Tour are considered more effective in
increasing BBP visits and income. The management of BBP continue to strive and
supervise so that BBP can survive in the Pandemic covid-19 situation at this time.
