Listening Comprehension is very important for student to make them understand
the meaning from the speaking, or story. They also have to achieve the minimum
criteria of completion (KKM). The minimum criteria of completion on ninth grade
at SMP Negeri 2 Bangli in English Lesson is 75 But in the preliminary study there
were 10 out of 28 students who got under 75. This research is based on the problem
of grade IX students who are less interested in learning English, especially listening
comprehension. The lack of vocab mastered by students, bored with the atmosphere
of this class because the media used by the teacher is only audio. Research is
conducted to found out best implementation of Movie with English Audio and
Indonesian Subtitle to Improve Listening Comprehension on ninth grade students
at SMP Negeri 2 Bangli used movie of Narrative Text. Listening test in the
preliminary used find In the blank questions with a total of 10 questions.
Researchers conducted interviews with English teachers and observations on
students when teachers gave English lessons, especially when learning listening
comprehension. The research design used by researchers is Classroom Action
Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, cycle 1 and cycle 2.
The target in this study is 75% that can meet KKM.
