Reading comprehension is very important for the students to make them
understand the meaning of a text, a story or a material. The aimed of this research was
to investigate the best implementation of webtoon to improve students’ reading
comprehension of narrative text for the ninth grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangli.
Classroom Action Research (CAR) was the design of this research. There were four
stages, it was planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. This research conducted two
cycles, cycle 1 and cycle 2. According to the result of this research, the best
implementation of webtoon to improved students’ reading comprehension was asked
the students to read aloud, read silently, and discussion to made the students more
understand the content of the story in each generic structure. Explain orally the material
and gave power point to made them understand the purpose of the text and the language
features. Gave homework for the students and discussed the assignment to made them
more understand the moral value of the story and the last want asked the students to
write unfamiliar vocabulary and search the meaning to made them know the synonym
of a word.
